The Grey Gables is surrounded by areas rich in natural scenic beauty and steeped in histroy. Dungiven Old Priory and Banagher Glen National Nature Reserve are both within 4/5 miles, and are a must for those with an eye for nostalgia and scenery. The Giants Causeway, said to be the 8th wonder of the world and the Old Bushmills Distillery, reputed to be the oldest licensed distillery (1608) in the world, are less than and hour's drive away. Closer to home, the glorious sands of Benone Strand, a multiple recipient of the prestigious Blue Flag and seaside award, offer the perfect venue for a family day out. The Roe Valley Country Park, has something for everyone; and intriguing visitors centre in an old mill, wonderful riverside walks and spectacualar gorges.
